Washington 33, Washington State 30

Rashaan Shehee ran for a career-high 212 yards and scored three touchdowns, as Washington defeated its cross-state rival Washington State in a nail-biter. Washington rallied from a 22-15 fourth quarter deficit, scoring two touchdowns to take a 30-22 lead with 5:03 remaining in the game. But Washington State drove down the field, scoring a touchdown and the two-point conversion to tie the game at 30-30 with 2:17 remaining. The Huskies showed determination, however, as the drove back and took a three-point lead on a John Wales field goal with seconds left.

Following the game, the players and fans flocked to television screens, to see whether Oregon State could pull off a huge upset on its intrastate rival, Oregon. An Oregon State victory would have sent the Huskies to the Cotton Bowl. Oregon State fell short, however, as it has it each of its PAC-10 games this season, and lost to Oregon 12-10. The Beaver loss sent the Ducks to the Cotton Bowl as the Dawgs will have to pack their bags for ol' El Paso and the Sun Bowl, where they are likely to face Michigan State.

On a lighter note, as the Huskies were winning in Seattle, the Trojans were losing in the Coloseum, falling to cross-city rival UCLA. The Trojan loss, combined with the Husky win, gave the Huskies a share of the 1995 PAC-10 Championship.
