SEATTLE, Wash. - Chris Sailer kicked five field goals to help keep UCLA unbeaten, as the third-ranked Bruins knocked off Washington, 36-24. While he did not throw for a touchdown, UCLA's Cade McNown became the Pac 10 career total offense leader by completing 12-24 passes for 233 yards.

UCLA (9-0, 7-0 Pac 10) won for the 10th consecutive time, while Washington (5-5, 3-4) lost its third straight contest.

Sailer connected on kicks of 25, 25, 27, 29, and 47 in a perfect 5-of-5 performance for the Bruins.

UCLA got on the board less than four minutes into the contest as Jermaine Lewis took the ball in from two yards out to put the Bruins ahead 7-0.

Washington answered 90 seconds later with a 35-yard Joe Garzynka field goal to pull his team within four, only to go back down seven on a 27-yard chip shot by UCLA's Chris Sailer, making the score 10-3 with 7:03 still remaining in the first quarter. Sailer would add a 25- yarder in the closing minute of the quarter to put the Bruins ahead 13-3.

The Huskies showed no signs of quitting on Saturday as they dominated the second quarter, keeping the potent UCLA offense off the board. Washington's Braxton Cleman rambled for a 22-yard touchdown run to again pull his team within a field goal at 13-10 with 6:40 left in the half. Unfortunately for the underdog Huskies, the Bruins special teams showed that they too can score as Ryan Roques ran a punt back 77 yards for a score to put UCLA up 20-10 after two quarters.

Sailer continued his assault on the scoreboard in the third quarter, with boots of 25, and 47 yards. The Huskies pulled within striking distance as Cleman powered into the end zone from one yard out as time ran out in the third quarter to make the score 26-17.

UCLA's potent offense began to roll in the final quarter, scoring on the ground again as DeShaun Foster slithered for a one-yard TD to put the Bruins ahead 33-17. A 29-yarder by Sailer upped the UCLA lead to 36-17 with 4:15 remaining.
