TEMPE, Ariz. -- Brock Huard found Reggie Davis on the receiving end of a 67-yard touchdown pass with 28 seconds remaining in the contest to lift the Washington Huskies to a seesaw 42-38 win over the eighth-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils.

The catch-and-run occurred on fourth-and-17 from Washington's own 33 yard-line.

Huard finished the day with 27 completions on 47 attempts for 321 yards and four scores.

Washington had led 35-28 entering the fourth quarter, but Arizona State fought back with 10 unanswered points. Mike Gauthier kicked a 42-yard field goal to pull the Sun Devils within four with 12:21 remaining.

The Sun Devils used a 61-yard punt return by J.R. Redmond to move into scoring position, and quarterback Ryan Kealy completed an eight- yard toss to Tariq McDonald, who made a diving catch in the end zone.

However, Huard worked his fourth-down magic, connecting with Davis on a fly pattern down the right hashmark. Davis pulled in the ball and outraced two defenders to the end zone for the go-ahead score.

The two teams traded scores from the beginning of the contest. Arizona State got on the board first, as Kealy connected with Kendrick Bates from 13 yards. Huard brought the Huskies right down the field and hit Davis with a three-yard strike to even the game at 7-7.

Kealy then found Todd Heap in the back of the end zone to give the Sun Devils a 14-7 lead with 2:20 remaining in the quarter, but Pat Conniff's 16-yard run early in the second stanza evened the game again.

Arizona State took a 21-14 lead at the 7:04 point of the second quarter on a one-yard run by Davaren Hightower and extended the advantage to 14 points on a 22-yard run by Redmond.

Washington closed within a touchdown with three minutes left in the half on a Huard touchdown pass to Dane Looker, covering three yards.

After intermission, the Huskies seized control of the contest, as Huard and Looker hooked up once again, this time on a nine-yard pass.

With 4:45 remaining in the stanza, the Huskies finally took the lead, as Jerald Harris ran in from five yards out.
